Hallo,
Time to dig this one a bit.
Which station this cover is from?
What I see is 20, is this Stuttgart?
Dated 03-07-1874 to HOHENHEIM
Best regards
Sylvain

Hello Sylvain
good buy! "Fhafen" was "Friedrichshafen" close to the Lake of Constance in Wurttemberg. The railway was built to Friedrichshafen to exchange the post over the Lake of Constance. Most likely it contained a Swiss letter, as you could save 4 Kreuzer, when you posted your Swiss letter in Friedrichshafen and not in Switzerland.
Hallo Ralph,
I see it now in blue writing "Fhafen", so Friedrichshafen to Hohenheim (Stuttgart). Super thank you!
Nice little piece from a border town
I just saw Dornier museum at the airport
Best regards

Hallo,
Another master piece!!
Just wondering why one stamp did not receive the STUTTGART strike?

Hallo Sylvain,
Just wondering why one stamp did not receive the STUTTGART strike?
...the smoke of the postmasters tobacco-pipe in Stuttgart was to thick to recognize the last 2 Pf-value on the bottom, but one day later the railway-postmaster has completed his job.
+ Gruß !
Tim
It wasn’t the smoke from his pipe that obscured his view, he kept the postcard in place with the big thumb of his one hand and didn’t notice the stamp underneath, while striking the four stamps above with his other!
All the best from Erding!

Hallo,
Just wondering now if mail were sorted at the station or on board?
For the Bahn-post strike, all example found so far have the ST in lower segment and number in upper segment??
Best regards
Sylvain
